Understanding the Waitlist: How It Works

We want to make sure everyone has a fair chance to join our classes. If a class you want is currently full, you can join the Waitlist. Here is everything you need to know about how Waitlist Protection, notifications, and offer deadlines work.

How to Identify Waitlisted Classes

When you are registering, look for the following alerts:

  • Waitlist Protection Enabled: If you see this banner at the top of your registration form, it means all classes in this session are currently full and only accepting waitlist entries.

  • Waitlist Supported: This tag appears next to individual classes that have reached capacity while other classes in the same session may still have open spots.

1. No Upfront Payment

There is no charge to join a waitlist. You will only be asked for payment if a spot becomes available and you choose to claim it.

2. Notification & Claiming Your Spot

If a spot opens up and you are next in line, we will send an automated notification to your registered email address.

  • Your claim window: The event organiser selects a maximum offer window of 12, 18, 24, or 48 hours for each event. The window can vary between events, so do not assume that a previous event's timeframe applies.
  • Check the exact deadline: Your email shows the date and time by which you must claim the spot. You can also find it by going to Profile > Registration History, opening the registration, and looking beneath the Spot Offered badge.
  • Deadlines may be sooner: An offer may expire before the selected maximum window if event entries close sooner. A checkout-session allowance is also reserved so that a session started before the displayed deadline can be completed. Always rely on the exact deadline shown in your email or Registration History.
  • Event timezone: The displayed deadline uses the event venue's timezone and includes the timezone abbreviation, such as AEST or AEDT.
  • Completing registration: Follow the link in the email, or open the registration from your Registration History, to complete your registration and provide payment before the displayed deadline.

3. Expired Offers

Timing is important. If you do not claim the spot before the exact deadline shown, the offer will expire and the system will make the spot available to the next person in line.

Note: Once an offer expires, you will need to re-join the waitlist if you still wish to attend that class.

4. Managing Your Waitlists

If your plans change and you no longer wish to be on a waitlist, please remove yourself so the spot can go to the next person.

  • Log in to your account.
  • Navigate to Profile > Registration History.
  • Locate the waitlisted class and select Delete/Remove.
